There are a few things I really look forward to that marks our transition from winter to spring but few are as wonderful as the opening of our favorite local ice cream shop! Lisa's Dairy Bar.
Not counting the "grill and chill" we have two ice cream shops in town that have been around for more than 40 years. One is our absolute favorite and they opened for the season a few days ago.
Can't even lie. I've been twice already and I am not ashamed. While the boys were hanging with my parents yesterday afternoon, Donny and I went and enjoyed our most favorites. He got a strawberry shortcake sundae with extra strawberries and I had a banana pudding blizzard with REAL homemade banana ice cream! Tonight, after dinner was done, the oldest did dishes and took out trash and the three boys had a mini-nerf war, the oldest suggested going for ice cream. So we did.
Okay, not really. It's just that it has been 4 months since we last enjoyed this heavenly goodness!! And I did not get the same thing tonight, either. Tonight was peanut butter and chocolate!
As I have said many times before...Spring is here! I know because Lisa's is open!
