Always on time

Writer: Stacey WilsonStacey Wilson

I have been wrestling through a couple situations that have me perplexed and prayerful. This morning in my prayer journal I got raw with God. I mean, He already knows my heart, my mind, all the things that stress me or worry me. Why not just give them to Him?

As I was journaling, praying, and asking the Lord for clarity and for wisdom on how to handle these situations and how to know I am doing things the best way, He gently reminded me of the verses that I read this morning...

Exodus 14:13 But Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord’s salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet.

Deuteronomy 1:29 “So I said to you: Don’t be terrified or afraid of them! 30 The Lord your God who goes before you will fight for you, just as you saw him do for you in Egypt.

Joshua 10:14 There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord listened to a man, because the Lord fought for Israel.

Isaiah 30:15 For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said:

“You will be delivered by returning and resting;

your strength will lie in quiet confidence.

While I am not excited with the thought of facing these things or what all the potential outcomes will be, I am confident that God's got me, God's taking care of it all, and I can rest in Him. His gentle reminders are always timely and intentional. He sees us right where we are and He knows what we're in the thick of. I am so grateful for His word that never fails to be relevant in the midst of whatever it is I am walking through.
