The Big 4-0

Today is the day many dread and struggle to cope with. It is a day that marks a shift in life. I like how Jennie Allen said it during the if:gathering. "Middle old."

Today...I am 40.

But you know what? I am not dreading it or afraid. I feel like I am finally comfortable in my own skin, doing my thing, right where God has me. I may be middle old but I am 100% okay with it! I struggled more at the 25th birthday than this one!

Do I have any regrets? A few. The biggest one was not ordering myself the one thing I asked for...One thing that I wanted to have to wear on this day.

Did I get it? No. I mean, day's not over but it's gonna be silly to wear it only for part of the day, or not actually on my day. Will I still wear it with a ginormous smile should I receive it?
