songs of my youth

I had a plan for each day in this month long writing goal but with all the changes to life I am having to make adjustments. It's okay! I think it's working out well! That being said, I thought I would compile a list of some of my most favorite songs, in no particular order, from my teen years.

Can I tell you that I am honestly not sure how many times I saw 4-Him in concert back in the day. At least 5. I also am sure I sang Basics of Life, and some of their other songs, as "specials" in church a lot.

Truth is in the proof is when you hear your heart start asking "What's my motivation?"

I. Loved. Newsboys. Like the OG Newsboys, Peter Furler Newsboys. And Shine is just as much an anthem of my generation as Flood

Oh goodness. I just never could get enough of Point of Grace! This song, The Great Divide, was definitely iconic for the church in the 90's.

Let my hands surrender to His piercing purpose, that holds me to the cross yet sets me free

Gracious. If I saw 4-Him 5 times I saw Philips, Craig and Dean at least 20. If you went to church in the 90's there is no doubt you heard someone sing this song.

When the toast has burned and all the milk has turned and Captain Crunch is waving "farewell"

Yep.Definitely another Newsboys song cause how can you not smile when you're singing the Breakfast song?

All I need's another day where I can't seem to get away from the many things that drag me down...Yeah.

Is there much better than OG Audio Adrenaline with Mark's raspy voice singing Get Down to through your boombox speakers?

I could actually do this all day long so I'll stop before it gets out of hand...I mean really it's probably too late for that! I know that there are songs many of you would have added, like Big House, for example. Please! Leave a comment here with some of your faves!
