Save The Branches! Don't Throw Them Away!

Every year we make the sometimes snowy trek to a nearby town and search for the perfect Christmas Tree...in a mini-lot on the side of the road by Kohls sold by the local Lions Club. It's magical. Accept this year they sold out before we could up to get our tree so we had to go elsewhere but truly, the trees we have gotten from the fundraiser have been beautiful and VERY reasonably priced.
Part of purchasing a pre-cut tree is the need to have to the trunk cut when you purchase it so that it can soak up the water once you get it into the stand. The past few years we have had to have the lower limbs trimmed as well and I have saved them from the pile of other cut limbs left to find no purpose during the season.

Let me give you some ideas of what you can do with those trimmed limbs and branches so that every part of the tree has a purpose! You're welcome.
Now I am sure that in no way do I have it all figured out and you may have other things you do with them to add to the list so by all means, please, leave a comment here and share how you use them.
One of my favorite things to do if there are enough larger ones is to make a swag for my door.

Sometimes I use just the swag to decorate. I have used faux berries/holly before, ribbon, pinecones or even ornaments to give it a special look. This year I came across my rustic start that I haven't used in years and thought it would be pretty behind it. And I was right.
I also made a mini swag to hang with my special new decorative addition I found at a deep discount this summer when I went to Waco and the Magnolia warehouse was having its sale for the quarter! Just a sprig of those faux berries and piece of twine to hold them altogether was all it took. Oh! And a super cheap set of battery operated mini LED lights I found in the front bins at Target a couple years ago taped to the back of the sign to make the "Bright" a reality. Again, you're welcome.
But my favorite little use this year may just be this.

Little pieces or big, depending on the size of the gift, these extra pieces can add some fun, beauty, and scent to Christmas gifts! I just snipped pieces away from the larger limbs/branches and tied them in with the ribbon and twine with the gift tag. Nothing major but a special little touch that I feel makes quite an impact. Cute, right!?!

Also, the countdown is for real, friends!! We are SO close! Are you ready?

Hey! Just a reminder of the fun giveaway my Mom and I are teaming up to celebrate the giving season with you! Be sure to check it out here!
