I am not sure that any quote from any movie or television show more adequately describes my brain lately than this one right here.

My brain is a wild jungle full of scary gibberish. I'm writing a letter, I can't write a letter, why can't I write a letter? I'm wearing a green dress, I wish I was wearing my blue dress, my blue dress is at the cleaners. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue, 'Casablanca' is such a good movie. Casablanca, the White House, Bush. Why don't I drive a hybrid car? I should really drive a hybrid car. I should really take my bicycle to work. Bicycle, unicycle, unitard. Hockey puck, rattlesnake, monkey, monkey, underpants!

🥚 Who is sitting on our church parking lot week after week and eating eggs?

No. Seriously. For months we have pulled onto the parking lot and at least once if not 2-3 times a week we find broken egg shells in a parking spot like someone is sitting here eating a half dozen hard-boiled eggs and then driving off!

🍂I miss having a chalkboard

REALLY! This was one of my favorite things about having a classroom. I LOVED doing some holiday/seasonal/fun thing on my chalkboard for the kids and parents to come and see.

It was fun to brainstorm what I would do and then actually taking the time to get my semi-creative juices flowing and my semi-artistic hands moving. It was good because I recognize I am not an amazing artist but doing chalk art allows you to be rustic in your efforts which covers a multitude of mistakes! Flaws are cool in rustic art.

Hi. My name is Stacey and I am an entertainment junkie.

I LOVE watching tv and going to movies and listening to podcasts and music. September means shows are back! We got to watch 911, New Amsterdam, American Housewife, Dancing with the Stars, Masked Singer, Bull, God Friended Me, The Neighborhood and of course, This Is Us. This Sunday though I am very much looking forward to Madam Secretary! Do you have fave shows that have come back that you are excited about?

💍My Mom became Carnac

Okay. If you were born in the late 80's or in the 90's you have ZERO idea what I am referring to.

Johnny Carson was the host of the Tonight Show before Jimmy Fallon and even before Jay Leno.

A character he created for the show was Carnac the Magnificent and he was a fortune teller.

My Mom sells $5 jewelry (it's great stuff and at $5 you can afford to have all the fun!) and does weekly live parties on Facebook. This past week she did a game and when she leaned forward to write something down she held the card with the answer up and well...

🤵🏻Big Brothers

I have always wanted a big brother. Growing up as the oldest with two younger brothers who I love very much, I always wish I had a big brother. Now, I am have a lot of guy friends who are like brothers, older and younger.

But one of those guys truly stepped into that role organically and my life is just so much richer because of he and his family. My family loves them so much and I would walk through fire for them.

I am proud of them (ALL 5 of them! Liz, Matt, Abby and Emma) and today especially, I am proud of my Big Brother Eric.

I never win anything. But a couple weeks ago I played along on Instagram and I WON!!

This book is so good! Melissa Radke came into my life a few years ago when she posted a fantastic and hilarious video from the viewpoint of a frustrated mom over the whole red ribbon week thing.

Since then I have followed her journey from Facebook posts and Instagram posts to a podcast to the book and speaking engagements and a USA reality show!

She's real and genuine. She's a fellow Assemblies of God girl. She's funny. She can SAAAAANG. And I would like to think that if we ever spent time together in the same room we would click and become BFF's. The fact that she wrote this in the book she mailed me only a couple weeks after I wrote a blog about my journey to 40 and how I have a rash is absolutely HYSTERICAL!

🤪🥴🤭Change is Happening

The past two weeks have brought my family to a new horizon. We're approaching it with each passing day and we have no certainty at what lies beyond. God is in control and I am 100% sure that He is guiding us and walking with us and providing us with what we need but until we get there, we won't know for sure. It's crazy and exciting and I can't wait to share about it in a couple of weeks when things become more clear. Until then, I hold to the word He gave me back at the start of the year.
