It's Everywhere...I know

Before I even start, I know what many will think as soon as I mention it so let's just get something out of the way.

My life is 100% formed by God and my identity rests in Him. The Bible is His Word for all things about this life. While this is the foundation of everything, I am grateful for tools that aid us in our journey. And that is what the Enneagram is. A tool.

If you have somehow managed to live this past year and not learn about or hear about the Enneagram, I wrote about here and I highly recommend Beth Mccord and reading The Road Back to You by Ian Morgan Cron. There are also quite a few fun and educational accounts worth following on Instagram. I won't take up this post to go through all of what I know but I thought I would share some fun and insightful things I found on one of those IG accounts that may give you a little more insight to me and other 2's in your life.

This graphic is pretty much a visual of my head and my heart. Especially that bleeding heart of compassion in the middle. Some see it as a weakness but I see it as the ability to empathize and care deeply; it helps me intercede for others on a level that not everyone is equipped to do.

Over at @justmyenneatype, as well as other IG accounts, you can find one of these for every type and I would imagine that they are equally as accurate.

Now, knowing types are all about becoming more aware of the motives behind your choices and actions and a side benefit is if you take the time to learn about those in your life, you can also build much healthier relationships because you'll understand how to communicate so much better! In an effort to help you understand 2's a bit more, let me share with one more graphic today.

Seriously, these are amazing tips that I will undoubtedly even ask of myself! Some of them I already think about every time I find myself getting worked up or agitated. A little self-reflection and evaluation is good for the soul, you know?

But can I just affirm that the simplicity of "I love you and I'm not leaving you." is huge and can ease the chaos of a 2's mind, especially if that 2 has a 1 wing. And I do. Also, the last line marked with **... yeah...um, that one is real.
