The Passover meal was prepared in a room as Jesus told the disciples it would be. They found everything He told them they would.
“And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way he also took the cup after supper and said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. But look, the hand of the one betraying me is at the table with me. For the Son of Man will go away as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”
Needless to say, this Passover Seder was not like any other. The conversations ranged from who would even think of betraying Jesus to who is the greatest, to Peter saying that he would die for Jesus! But Jesus knew the truth and told Peter that he would deny even knowing who Jesus is three times before he heard a rooster crow.

The one who would betray ran out to the temple and asked the religious leaders to give him thirty pieces of silver if he would give them Jesus. The agreement was made. No turning back now.
After the meal the group followed Jesus to the Mount of Olives where Jesus told them to pray and he walked a little further without to do the same. His anguish over what He knew was coming was overwhelming...He prayed so hard out of desperation that He was sweating and His sweat was filled with blood. Three times He checked on the others and each time He found them sleeping. “Can’t you give me one hour of prayer?!?” But the time had come. The betrayer arrived and sealed his part with a kiss...a kiss! So intimate a greeting of friends but this time, just betrayal.
A very unorthodox and impromptu trial is about to take place that would accuse and convict an innocent man.
His followers...well some ran and hid out of fear while one just pretended to not know Him at all.
