After an entry into Jerusalem with quite the fanfare and seeing what was happening at the temple, Jesus retreated with His disciples and rested. Getting up this morning, Jesus head's back to the city.

On the way, in a show and demonstration of His Lordship, He curses a fig tree that had no fruit (it wasn't the time for figs).
Upon arrival at the temple, He sees how so many were using it for personal profit, taking advantage of those coming for the Passover festival. Jesus goes into a protective and indignant rage for the house of God, "Don't you know MY house will be a house of prayer but you've made it a den of thieves!" He made quite a scene! Tables were flipped and tossed, money scattered as it was thrown with the tables, animals that were being sold for sacrifices were now flying and running away. The religious leaders couldn't get past His words, "MY house..."
At evening time, He and His disciples returned to Bethany where they were staying. 📖This day's events can be found in the following books and chapters: Matthew 21 Mark 11 Luke 19 John 12
