He sees you.

Some would call it a coincidence. Others might call it karma. You know what I call it? I call it Being seen and known. I call it God's faithfulness. I call it God's response to our obedience.

On the last Saturday of 2018 my oldest son broke the screen of his cell phone. Like, it's broke, broke. The screen is cracked horribly and will not respond whatsoever.

Now, pausing for a moment to say that back in the fall mine broke and I had to make a claim on the insurance we carry on the phones. It was actually awesome! A minimal fee and the tech repair guy met me at my office, replaced the screen and voila! Good to go.

So when Ty's broke, this kid offered to pay the fee himself. He really wanted it fixed before he headed out for a weekend retreat for pastor's kids. More on that later. Anyway, he really was hoping to have his phone to take with him so we tried to set up the same thing I did for his phone.

The same day we were trying to make the appointment, I got home from the office and checked the mailbox to find a check from our mortgage company. Our escrow account was overpaid last year and received a reimbursement. What a nice surprise!!

Then we got the news on his phone. The screen can't be replaced. No. The entire phone will have to be replaced. And you know what? The amount we'll have to pay is about $50 less than the check we got in the mail!

I choose to say this is providence. This is God's faithfulness. This is a tender mercy of my heavenly Father to provide for us before we ever know the need. And then He is just gracious enough to put a little icing on the cake for good measure. He is always good and ALWAYS on time.
