A couple of weeks ago I wrote that I have a goal to write every day in the month of March. Today is day and I want to start by sharing something that happened with the boys last week.
I love when my kids do something that tell me they "get it."

Let me back-up.
A couple weeks ago, Hillsong Young & Free released a new song that, if I am honest, has captivated me. I believe it is very likely an anthem for a generation.
While driving in the car, from the back seat, the nine year old says, "Mom. I really want to hear the song that goes, "All of my best friends..." and I immediately knew and we opened Spotify to play. He sang at the top of his lungs. And it makes my heart happy.
I thought I'd share the song with you here!
Verse 1
I don’t want to be on my phone
But I can’t be alone
Welcome to the modern way
Trying to be somebody I’m not
But it’s not what I want
Tell me there’s another way
Pre-Chorus
All of the lights I chased are now faded
All the cheap thrills were only time wasted
Tell me why society’s plan should define who I am
Surely there’s a higher way
Chorus
All of my best friends are sick of pretending
We want the truth (we want it we want it)
So much is missing so give us the real thing
I know it’s You (I know it's You)
Verse 2
I don’t want a stereotype
To decide who I am
It never knew me anyway
I’m over trying to find the next hype
'Cos the high never lasts
Imma go another way
Pre-Chorus
All of the lights I chased are now faded Dylan was right the times they are changing Tell me why society’s plan should define who I am Surely there’s a higher way
Did you catch that chorus?!?! A generation is crying out for real, authentic, true, and honest faith. They know who it is and they want nothing more, and nothing less, than Jesus Christ Himself. Listening to this and hearing my own kids singing it I can't help but believe that this generation is going to be a conduit of revival and I want to be there for it!
