So this week I started going live to help our church family stay connected during these very crazy days. This morning in our chat, I shared a few people who I enjoy following who help brighten my days. I figured I would put that list here so that it makes it easier to to find and follow them yourselves.

I began following Melissa a few years ago when her Red Ribbon Week video went viral. I haven't regretted a day yet! She daily makes me laugh, has encouraged me through her book, Eat Cake Be Brave (I won and autographed copy of her book that sits on my desk and makes me oh so happy!), and her podcasts, Ordinary People. Ordinary Things, and Stream(h)er. I highly recommend following her if you are looking for a good clean place to laugh and be real. Melissa is on Facebook and Instagram and her podcasts are pretty much wherever you might listen, I believe. Last summer her family also had their own reality show on USA.

I have probably seen Matthew at least 8 times in concert and I would continue to see him again and again. He's an entertainer for sure but he is an anointed entertainer. He is funny and real and loves his family and Jesus. He knows how to laugh and also when to be serious. Even though I have never met him, he feels like a dude you'd just be able to sit down in comfy chairs and have great conversations. I mainly follow him on Instagram but he is on FB as well.

Okay. This one I only follow on Insta. In 2018 I was convinced by friends to commit to watching The Office. So I did. I watched all 9 seasons in less than 6 weeks. That's insane, BUT I discovered how much I enjoyed Jenna Fischer. Jenna, aka Pam Beasley, is from the STL area, is a Blues fan, makes bread and co-hosts The Office Ladies podcast, an Office rewatch podcast. So, this one sort of doubles because even if you don't follow her but you liked The Office, you gotta check out the pod! She and Angela Kinsey, yep, Angela, talk about one episode per week and give you some behind-the-scenes info, interview writers and directors and other actors from the show. Plus you see their true friendship and it's fantastic. "Chunk it" and "woofle ball" for those who know.

Goodness! If you like creatives and have an interest in the Enneagram, then Ashton is for you! She creates stunningly beautiful and fun things that you can purchase through her Etsy shop and many are digital that you can screenshot and use for phone backgrounds and such. I currently have one as my wallpaper and one for my cover photo on FB.

I know, I know...I mention Annie a lot! Not even a little sorry. I just enjoy her! I enjoy her amazingly infectious laugh. I love that she cries like I do and never apologizes for it. I admire her tenacity and interview skills on her pod...legit she always asks great questions! I appreciate her realness and authenticity. She encourages me to step out, to read more, and to care deeply. Who doesn't need an Annie in their life?!

6. Zach Thayer My friend, Zach is on Insta, TikTok, FB, Twitter and probably any other platform you can imagine and he does them all VERY well. He's inspiring and thoughtful. He's encouraging and funny. He doesn't take himself too seriously but knows how to handle the serious. He loves people so well and tells amazing stories for them. He is a wonderful friend but I am always in awe by his awesomeness as a son and brother. I just appreciate him beyond measure for the way he lives his life and brings light and joy to my heart.

Guys. I say "guys" a lot and I am always just talking to people...I also say "dude" and rarely am I referring to a literal guy or dude. It's just my greeting. I digress. Memes for Jesus is hilariously wonderful!! Goodness gracious do yourself a favor and find them on FB and Insta...probably on Twitter, too if you prefer. This guy just makes wonderful content for the church world and I always laugh!

Definitely not the least of the list although he's the last one I am mentioning. Carll is a complete and utter joy! He helps us all interact more fully with different generations by teaching us how Gen Z speaks or how millennials live. He even makes some of the softest shirts I have ever worn in my entire life and I just ordered his newest this past Wednesday. Carll posts a new video every week and you can find him on FB, Insta, YouTube and you can check out his website, Sunday Cool. Carll will teach you about Jesus and how to love your "Mamaw" forever. Carll is a youth pastor's best friend and helps you understand what happens when you eat the dumb spicy food challenges. You need to follow Carll.

And there you have it, friends! I know you were just dying to have all of this info at your fingertips and I am glad I could oblige. Sometimes when you have weeks like this past one where Friday doesn't feel like a Friday because it was more like a week of Mondays, you just want a way to escape or laugh or be encouraged. Any of these 8 will do the trick!

Happy following!
