Countdown to 40

That's right. The countdown is on.

15 Days.

I will be 40 in 15 days.

Am I scared? Am I nervous? Am I on the verge of some existential crisis?

No.

I am more confident than I have ever been in my entire life. I am excited about the future. I am certain I am right where God wants me. I am anticipating great things to come!

I figured I would take some time and share something each week, maybe more than once a week, about how I am feeling about approaching the big 4-0 and how you can help me celebrate!

This week, one major passion of my heart has a big day for creating awareness in a massive fight. February 13 is Shine A Light On Slavery Day! The End It Movement is doing a lot to help spread the word about human trafficking through unique approaches as well as highlighting other freedom fighting organizations doing amazingly hard and great work in this horrendous industry.

Tomorrow, grab a red Sharpie and draw an ❌on your hand and post a picture of it on social media with #enditmovement❌ #shinealightonslavery. Together, we can bring awareness but even more we can make a difference and create change!

Last year for my birthday, I made my stance permanent. My ❌became a solid part of me, right where I see it every day as a reminder of the burden God has placed in me to be a fighter.

Let me encourage you to get involved but also, get involved in more than just a red sharpie marker. Let's put our money where our mouth is. There are a plethora of way to give in the fight, but if you need some direction, here you go!
