This past spring I made individual posts about my oldest's and youngest's (I know those aren't words lol) birthdays. As I was looking for something specific from my posts, I noticed I made a grave mistake.

I forgot to post one for my middle. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So, in honor of him just being him, here's Noah 😄

He's always been a strong-willed kid. You can't make him do anything he doesn't want to do and while, as a child, that used to frustrate me to the nth degree, I have always prayed that God would take that bull-headedness and turn it into a righteous stubborn streak within his character. We always joked that we probably would never have to worry about him giving into peer pressure cause he's so stubborn!

He sure can give us a run for our money but we're so thankful we have him in our family. He brings us joy and definitely keeps us on our toes.

He can be super funny, too!

He has some of the best facial expressions and comes up with some real off-the-wall things to say. Sometimes we laugh so hard and other times we scratch our heads but there is certainly never a dull moment with this boy.

One of my favorite memories is from camp last year.

They played a game called The Eliminator. This game used 4 players, 2 from 2 different teams. They each had to be inside a rubber tube that was attached to straps connected in the middle. The objective was to reach for items set on the perimeter of a circle and then move onto the other side all the while keep your

opponents from reaching theirs. The camp leaders were so excited to find me and tell me that Noah was the camp champ for the purple team, planting himself and almost single-handedly allowing their team to win the game. I have a video of the boys encouraging him and chanting, "Cinderblock! Cinderblock!" as Noah dug deep and stayed super strong. You can tell from the picture to the left, which was made by the team captain, my friend Jake, that Noah's knees took quite the beating! But he loved every minute of it!

And then there's how much he loves his furry siblings. He loves on Finn and Daisy and cuddles with them every chance he can possibly get.

This is just one of many pictures I have of Noah just giving some extra special attention. And she eats it up as if she's never had any attention before and never will again.

This year, Noah turned 14 on his birthday. The same year that the STL Blues won the Stanley Cup so it should come as no surprise what kind of cake he told his Aunt Marcia he wanted.

This kid makes me smile. I can't tell you how much he loves Jesus and serving the church. He helps run the sound almost every Sunday for our services.

Our three kids each bring so much to our family and have unique personalities. I can't imagine our family any differently. Being their mom is definitely the highlight of my life.
